Obsessive
Compulsive Disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a debilitating condition that can leave the person feeling out of control and isolated. Not only are the intrusive thoughts and worries difficult to bear, but the repeated behaviours and/or rituals (either physical or mental) are often equally challenging.
It's important to receive the right support. A combination of ERP (Exposure Response Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) are used for treatment.
Hayley has experience treating many subtypes of OCD, some of which include:
-ROCD
-SO-OCD
-Harm OCD
-Health OCD/Health Anxiety
-Suicide OCD
-Contamination OCD
-Just Right OCD
-Perfectionism OCD
-Real Event OCD
-POCD
-Post-Partum OCD

Anxiety
Generalized anxiety disorder and overall high anxiety is extremely challenging to experience as it involves excessively worrying about various aspects of life, often on a daily basis and affecting varying domains of one's life. Physical symptoms can often also be present.
BFRBs and Tics
Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours including Trichotillomania (hair-pulling), Onychophagia (nail-biting), Excoriation (skin-picking).
Tics include sudden, repetitive, uncontrolled movements (motor tics) and sounds (vocal tics).
